About the Role
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate studio sessions, including equipment setup and breakdown.
- Assist engineers and producers during recording sessions (e.g., mic placement, patching).
- Maintain and organize studio equipment, software, and inventory.
- Ensure sessions run efficiently by managing technical details and timekeeping.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and communicate equipment needs or repairs.
- Compile production reports and monitor studio usage to optimize resources.
Requirements
Qualifications
Familiarity with recording equipment, DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools or Logic Pro, and Band Lab[Collaboration Only]), and basic audio engineering.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Time commitment: approximately 8–12 hours/week.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a volunteer position with no base salary. Contributors are
eligible to participate in our discretionary profit-sharing program,
which allocates a percentage of net profits to volunteers based on
their contributions. Profit-sharing payments are not guaranteed and
may vary from year to year
