Cherokee James Lindsay | West Coast

Cherokee (CJ), is the visionary founder of n.o. records. A lifelong composer with over 20 years of experience, Cherokee studied at the Purchase School of Music and Borough of Manhattan Community College. His passion for sonic storytelling and artist development has driven him to create a label that champions creativity, authenticity, and community. As Chief of the Tribe, he leads with integrity, soul, and an unshakable belief in the transformative power of music.

Calvin leads onboarding and rights management at n.o. records, ensuring every artist and project enters the ecosystem with structure, clarity, and protection. From catalog coordination to process development, he builds the systems that allow creativity to move confidently and sustainably. His work bridges detail and vision — supporting the foundation that powers the label’s growth.

Challen Ford | East Coast

Hi, I’m Challen Ford, Chief Creative Officer at n.o. records.

In this role, I lead the creative vision and brand direction of the label, ensuring our artistic identity remains cohesive, culturally relevant, and aligned with our executive vision. I work closely with artists, managers, and internal leadership to shape creative strategy, guide artist development from a branding perspective, and oversee the storytelling and visual direction behind our projects.

My focus is on protecting and evolving the creative soul of n.o. records while helping position our artists and initiatives for long-term impact in an ever-changing music landscape.
